The
Rieger trail (Riegrova stezka) [left, no. 4496, and right, no. 4793]
is a tourist route along the right bank of the Jizera river between Bítouchov and Spálov, both part of the
municipality of Semily.
The trail was built in 1909 by the Club of Czech Tourists and was ceremonially opened on 20 October of that year. The trail is named after the prominent politician František Ladislav Rieger, native of Semily, who, among other things, was at the founding of the National Party and later became its second leader.
The picture on the glasses is labeled in Czech: Partie z Riegrovy turistické stezka ze Semil do Železného
Brodu ('part of the Rieger hiking trail from Semily to Železný Brod').
