Konstantinovy Lázně is situated at an elevation of 520 m about 40 km west of Plzeň in the Tachov district. The municipality has a population of about 900 (2017).
The sulfurous springs of Neudorf south of Weseritz (Bezdružice) were already known in the
16th century. The first bath house with 22 rooms opened in 1803. Hereditary prince Konstantin of
Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg purchased the spa in 1836 and invested heavily into its development. In 1900, the new
town, Bad Neudorf, was renamed Konstantinsbad in his honour. Sold in 1872 to a private company, further
spa facilities were added. In 1901, the town was connected to the railroad Neuhof–Weseritz
(Pňovany–Bezdružice; connecting to the line from Plzeň to
Cheb). The German population was expelled in 1945/1946 and the town was renamed
Konstantinový Lázné. Today, Konstantinový Lázné is the only spa town in the
Plzeň district.
