Külsheim is situated above the valley of the river Tauber in northern Baden-Württemberg.
It was first mentioned in a document in 1144 and received the status of a town in 1292. One of the best-known features of Külsheim is the large number of
(historical) fountains. Of the seventeen fountains in the town centre, only two are connected to the local water supply; all others get their waters from their own wells.
The
castle [left] dates back to the 13th century.
Today it is the seat of the municipal administration.
