Taminaschlucht is the northern part of the Tamina valley, just south of Bad Ragaz
in canton Sankt Gallen. Between Valens and the hamlet Bonadivis, the waters of the Tamina
over the past about 15,000 years have formed this gorge including one natural arch. The gorge has a length of about
750 m and is about 70 m deep. A thermal spring (36.6°C) is located in the rear part of the gorge. Since
1350 its waters were used in Bad Pfäfers, since 1969 in Bad Ragaz and Valens.
