3174 Weischlitz Weischlitz Weischlitz is situated at an elevation of 400 m on the river Weiße Elster in the Vogtland district of Germany's state of Saxony, about 10 km southwest of the district's capital, Plauen. The municipality of Weischlitz has a population of about 6,000 (2015).

Weischlitz was first mentioned in a document dating from 1274. Oberweischlitz was incorporated into the municipality of Weischlitz in 1950, Kröstau in 1974, Rodersdorf in 1994, Kloschwitz, Kobitzschwalde (formerly part of Neundorf) and Kürbitz in 1999, Burgstein in 2011, and Reuth in 2017.

The Salvatorkirche (Saviour's Church) in Kürbitz [bottom left picture] was built in 1624–1626.
