Höfen an der Enz is situated at an elevation of 366 m at the confluence of the rivers Große Enz and Kleine Enz in the north of the district Calw of Germany’s state of Baden-Württemberg. The municipality has a population of about 1,700 (2015).
The oldest written document referring to locus dictus zu dem hofe, a letter of the abbot of the monastery of Hirsau
(today part of Calw) to the bishop of Speyer, dates from 1376. At that
time it was administered from Neuenbürg.
The municipality of Höfen was created in the mid-19th century.
