Gosbach is situated in the valley of the stream Obere Fils in the Schwäbische Alb region of Baden-Württemberg. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1143. In 1806 it became part of Württemberg. Since 1975 Gosbach is part of the municipality of Bad Ditzenbach.
